Lake View

My clients let me explore some different layouts, including exterior textures and finish's, they wanted to maximize views towards Mt Peel and the Southern Alps.
The home’s structure is essentially four boxes that are seamlessly connected to form wings. There are different aspects of the house with Alpine tray & cedar cladding with insitu concrete walls and the pergola that is recycled 100-year-old Australian ironbark from the Timaru wharf achieves this look.
A particular favourite of the client, is the feel of the open living area with full-length glazing and the cedar-lined cathedral ceiling. “It radiates a certain ambience.”

Back to Projects

Graeme and I are traditional farming people that for years have planned and worked
towards our ‘dream home for future working/retirement and enjoyment with family and
friends.
Our priority of requests were for warmth, space in the living area and lots of glass to bring
the natural environment into our beautiful home.
Jonathan continually listened with enthusiasm, suggestions and encouragement to our ideas
and dreams, we asked to use natural timbers, concrete work and steel, for contemporary
living and style with an edge of modern design.
“Jonathan has absolutely captured our dream in every possible way.”
He is professional, passionate and practical, he will always keep to his word.
Jonathan has worked closely through the planning stages with us and our builder, discussing
and maximizing our opportunities.
Jonathan has the skills and ability to ensure you feel like his most important client.
We have had fun, we have laughed and joked, Jonathan made every stage of the journey
exciting and enjoyable.
Graeme and I have no hesitation in recommending the employment of
Jonathan and his team at Moore Architecture Ltd .
Christine and Graeme Taylor
